Message from the Principal
Dear Tiger Family,
Welcome to Slidell Junior High…the home of the Tigers! We are so excited to start the 2025-2026 school year! Our mission here at Slidell Junior High is to prepare every student for a successful transition to high school—academically, socially, and emotionally. Junior high is a critical time for growth, and we are committed to providing a supportive, challenging, and engaging environment where students can discover their strengths, build confidence, and develop the skills they need for the next step in their education.
Slidell Junior High Tigers ROAR, which means we demonstrate Respect for ourselves and others, take Ownership of our actions and grades, have a positive Attitude, and learn Resolution. We will continue to learn about the 7 habits of highly effective people and incorporate them into our school work and life, so we can ROAR.
Please visit our Slidell Jr. High website on a regular basis. I encourage you to read over the parent/student handbook on this site to become familiar/refresh your knowledge of our policies and procedures. Please call/email the office or your child’s teacher at any time with questions.
The success of our students is dependent on a strong home/school connection. An important part of this is checking your child’s progress through the student progress center.
